HOW TO START A BUSINESS ON AMAZON
How
So Start a Business on Amazon
If you are planning to start a business out of home with your
smartphone, Amazon is the right place for you. It has made it easier than ever
before for people to start their own e-commerce businesses online and on its
platform. The best part about this is that you don’t need to have an internet
connection, but you do have to have a mobile device that can successfully
function as a camera and microphone. This is why I highly recommend starting an
Amazon business from anywhere in the world – even if you live in San Francisco.
I know that not everyone wants to be stuck at home 24/7. That’s where the
Internet comes in, because most people these days want something they can use
as a form of entertainment or to help them discover new products and services.
Starting up a small business is an excellent way to make money quickly while
having fun at the same time, especially if you’re planning on selling items
such as clothing or electronics.
What does Amazon offer?
There are hundreds of different products
available on Amazon, thanks to the broad reach of over 2 million users. In
fact, many of my favorite products that were released recently have been
inspired by one of five categories known as “category essentials”. From toys to
books, there is always something a person in almost any niche would find
interesting on Amazon. One example is the popular beauty brand CeraVe.
Some examples are cosmetics, skincare, hair care, kitchen utensils, cookbooks
and more. Not all of these products are exclusive to Amazon, either. Many of
the category essentials are used globally across multiple retail locations all
around the globe. Every product listed in each category is extremely useful,
and often highly recommended by customers all around the world. Products like
CeraVe have become immensely popular and are sold worldwide because of the wide
variety of benefits these products have to offer. They are also very
affordable. For instance, I have a $10 shirt on sale in my local store and it’s
only $9.99. I know that when there are certain products that are incredibly
rare, the price point is really high. However, this doesn’t mean that these
products aren’t good, which they are. These days, there is literally hundreds
of different products on Amazon, so it isn’t hard to fall into bed with eyes
closed and never waking up to wonder whether you should purchase something
that’s probably worth more than what you originally paid for it. With such
broad selection of products, it’s easy to find something worth it while saving
some extra cash. This is exactly what makes Amazon a fantastic store to start a
business on!
One thing you will learn with a simple Amazon purchase is how much
you can earn per order. Most products are priced at 50% or 60% off the regular
prices. When you sign up as a seller, you receive full transparency as to how
much money you are getting, and you make money fast every month. You can even
add additional products to your cart and receive discounts. However, you are
limited to 100 items per cart and you cannot sell any items that are
unavailable as yet. As long as your item comes back within 14 days, then you
have no reason to pay it back. But that is not all. Once you begin to look into
advertising and sales, you can start marketing your business on Amazon. There
are tons of affiliate programs that allow you to promote Amazon content or
products through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts and profiles. After
using social media and promoting yourself on Amazon, you can now create
listings that will appear regularly on various websites. Also, you can choose
to have a storefront in your neighborhood, open on weekends to grab any
customers who may need your products. So, with all of that said, to start, you
need:
A smartphone – or video camera – with at least
10 megapixels. We recommend looking for a budget phone (usually less than 5
megapixels) that can shoot high-quality photos and videos
You will need a computer – or laptop,
depending on your chosen industry
A reliable Wi-fi connection
There are other apps or tools available that make things easier.
Google Drive is a great tool to save your files, photos and documents
somewhere. Dropbox is another option that allows you store work files, pictures
and music files too. Both apps are free and provide an intuitive interface for
making sure everything stays backed up and organized. All of these applications
and tools are essential for anyone hoping to start a successful business online
in the future.
